Since we’ve still got 25 days left until Christmas morning, we’ve still go time to do some present shopping! Here are 25 ways that you can give back this Christmas. Rather than purchasing material items this year, try a gift that will help empower change!

  1. Volunteer at your local homeless shelter
  2. Volunteer your time or resources at the local food bank
  3. Mentor a child over the holidays with Big Brother, Big Sister
  4. Take part in Operation Care Package to send Santa to the military troops
  5. Donate your old clothes and toys for families who would be thrilled to have them
  6. Help someone stay warm this Christmas by donating to One Warm Coat
  7. Join Holiday Helpers and adopt a family to provide a Christmas tree, gifts and food
  8. Fill the stockings with Heart and Stroke Lottery Tickets (only for Ontario residents)
  9. Donate your time (wrapping gifts, raking the lawn) for elderly and disabled in the community
  10. Support a buy one, give one organization like TOMS
  11. Shop at places that help give back with a purchase like Bluenotes’ Buy a Tee
  12. Shop LOCAL this Christmas
  13. Bake some goodies for the people who deserve a big ‘THANKS’ this year (firefighters, police)
  14. Donate money on behalf of someone who you knew and loved for a certain cause
  15. Buy eco-friendly and green products to give back to our earth!
  16. Buy someones coffee (or Tim Hortons) in line behind you
  17. Spoil those around you with compliments and wonderful greetings
  18. Go on a Christmas walk and pick up litter
  19. Donate some fruit trees with World Vision
  20. Sponsor a child with Save the Children 
  21. Become a ‘Trooper’ and help provide clean water to moms around the world with Just a Drop
  22. Join a Toys For Tots program and donate toys and children’s accessories for Christmas
  23. Give blood
  24. Help my friend Steven Hille reach his donation goal to provide a water pump to a village in Africa
  25. Purchase apparel on my online shop and help keep Canadians warm this winter!
