Berlin might be one of the hottest hubs for party’s, culture, history and business, but what about relaxation and nature?

Berlin certainly has no lack of relaxation and nature, it’s just up to you to jump outside of that tourist bubble and take on a new adventure.

I figured you might be looking for a little inspiration to get started, so here’s 5 Berlin city breaks that are forever friendly for the environment, your pocket and the city.

Neuer See

You might not be able to read up about Neuer See much on the internet, but there is no missing it on a Google map. The hottest spot on Neuer See is the Café am Neuen See which is a well known beer garden located along the water’s edge and inside the zoo, better know as Tiergarten. It might not be a secret spot, but it’s certainly a relaxing one.

TIP: Don’t forget to stash your trash in a bin. Please don’t leave your garbage for others to pick up. It’s disrespectful and it’s bad for environment.

Johannisthal Air Field Nature Park

If you didn’t figure it out, Johannisthal was originally designed as a hub for aircraft manufacturing. The coolest part about the park is that famous entrepreneurs like Ernst Grade and the Wright brothers actually built and trialed their planes here. The area itself turned into a military base during the war and is now an open park and nature reserve. If you’re in need of some serious peace and quiet, Johannisthal is a great area for silence, hiking and tranquility.
