There is the Brandenburg Gate, and then there’s the Berlin Fan Mile at the Brandenburg Gate. I’ve been before to the gate but never during a festival quite so large! It looked like a completely different location, until you look up and realize that this 1.8 km road leading toward the entrance of the Brandenburg gate is just that, a 1.8 km road PACKED with the proud supporters of the German National team.
Welcome to the Berlin Fan Mile!
There are hundreds of different public viewings across the city, the Fan Mile being the largest most well-known event. Known as the biggest football party in Germany, the Fan Mile plays World Cup games live between June 16th and July 13th.
