It’s that time of year again where we’re all not ready for the winter weather to head our way, but we come to terms with preparing for that cold weather.

While we may all to often get caught up with seeing all the local tourist sites, don’t forget to stop and enjoy where you are. Breath in the smells of the nature and start exploring the unseen. Here are five tips to help you make the best of your fall time travel:
Go for a Hike
The absolute best way to experience fall foliage is to put on a pair of hiking shoes and head for the wilderness. There are some absolutely stunning hikes throughout the globe, perhaps you can name a few of your favorite?

This is a very traditional thing to do for North Americans, it can also be done in other areas across the globe and is a great idea if you’re looking to make some pumpkin pie or pumpkin squash to celebrate the change in season.

Learn How to Bake some Fall Favorites
We’ve all got our fall favorites, no matter where in the world you might end up. Try something new this year, whether you’re at home or abroad, learn how to cook a new seasonal dish. Have you tried butternut squash, pumpkin pie, baked cinnamon apples, or glazed figs?

Every season harvests some wonderful fruit and veg, but there’s something special about the cooler fall weather and the beautiful autumn decor when you visit the markets at this time of year. Apples, artichokes, cabbage, fennel, garlic and pumpkins… do you need more of a reason to shop local this season?
