Hello friends, family & readers!

Today’s blog post is sharing with you that ‘thing’ that you’ve been seeing all over my Facebook page lately called “The Ripple Movement.” As a number of you have been asking the obvious question, “what is The Ripple Movement?” I will give you an easy to understand answer here and explain to you why you should care about what we are doing here.

First of all…
What is The Ripple Movement?

It is a Movement

The Ripple Movement is upcoming travel blogging collaboration. It’s our mission to highlight and raise awareness about various social issues – and help our audience understand their significance through transformative storytelling.

It is a Collective

Our founder and founding members have a common vision: to establish a collective of travel bloggers in order to combine their social missions and collaborate together, without sacrificing each individual’s own creative freedom.

Secondly… What Am I Doing with The Ripple Movement?

I will be investigating the impact of consumerism in travel across European countries. Titled: The Culture of Consuming.

It is intended to display the ways how tourists consume in countries across Europe, and determine whether or not this is supporting the local communities. We as people consume to create a better image for ourselves and for others, though depending on how we are consuming while on our travels this may answer the overall question: “is travel consumerism really a good thing?”

Through video interviews, diving deep into the experiences myself and documenting personal views about travel and consumerism, it is my hope to answer the big question in an interactive and social way. Follow the story online through The Ripple MovementGive for Granted, and my social media channels!

So, what’s next?

WE NEED YOU! Like the powers of a stone throw in the water, we need you to help spread the world and make it possible for us to investigate social issues and raise awareness as travellers.

How Can You Help?

This is our make or break moment. By organizing our campaign with Kickstarter, we are making a huge gamble into the ‘all or nothing’ scheme – meaning that unless we reach our target of £40,000 then we’re not getting a dime of it.

If you love me, love the idea or want to see some more, please, consider sharing this post, following us using the hashtag #TRM2015, donating or passing our information along to travel organizations and social awareness organizations alike.
